A very easy loop hike that gives very picturesque views of the desert landscape. Starting at the Black Rock trail head is a good way to avoid crowds at the Waterfall Trail. There is a connector to the Waterfall trail that avoids most of the "sidewalk". Doing the full loop along with going to the waterfall and back is a very easy 3 miles.

Most difficult ride I’ve done in the Valley. The rock gardens were intense. Will more than likely not ride again for the sake of my dirt bike.

My family used to love this hike. Since being paved it is always crowded. More like walking on a neighborhood sidewalk instead of a hike in the desert. Black loop is better, flat, even, less crowded.

This is a nice hike in the White Tank Mountains. Has a little scrambling up some dry falls but super easy.

Beautiful trail, moderate difficulty. Do be sure to download the map before you go - the loop marked here is not signed Mesquite Trail the whole way, and there are multiple branch points where you could take the wrong fork. We actually had a bit of a lively discussion in my party at one point and if we hadn’t had the marked trail pre-loaded we would have wandered more than we intended to in 110 degree heat.

Very easy hike. Went April 1st and the wildflowers and blooming cacti were beautiful. Saw Gila monster sunning, lots of prairie dogs, butterflies, lizards, etc. Trail was mostly level, very easy to walk.

Good hike, not hard, rocky in some points. Waddell Trail good for beginner hikers.

A really good hike with some challenges in elevation. The biggest elevation gain is the first 1.8 miles where Mesquite travels up to the junction of Willow Canyon. I recommend going clockwise if you are going to do this loop (Mesquite to Ford Canyon to Willow Canyon back to Mesquite). If you go counter clockwise there is a mile uphill between Willow Canyon up to Ford/Mesquite. Clockwise is downhill!
Willow Canyon is really very pretty

Difficult start with a big ascent and switchbacks. A few snakes but beautiful views.
