Sonoran Loop Competitive Track Loop(edit)

Overview

This is one way mountain bike trail in the White Tanks, this trail is designated for biking only. The loop starts out pretty level and you have the option to continue on the competitive loop or take a technical loop segment. If you choose to skip the technical loop about 2 miles in you will come up to a big climb and start up the hill with a few switchbacks to negotiate. After getting to the top you will have a pretty fun downhill on the backside of the mountain that lead you back around to the flatter section of the loop where you can pick up a lot a speed on the smooth trail back to the parking lot. This is great loop that offers some varied terrain for bikers.

Getting Started

There is a $7 park entrance fee. You will follow the main road all the way to the end and continue through the first parking lot to the second lot and park to get to the trailhead.
