Gumjuwac Trail to Lookout Mountain
A sunny July day hike from the Gumjuwac trailhead on Highway 35 up to Gumjuwac Saddle and along the spectacular Divide Trail to the site of the former lookout tower on Lookout Mountain.Great views over Eastern Oregon, down the spine of the Cascades to the Three Sisters, and across many forested ridge lines. The best part of the hike: the smells of the many, many blooming wildflowers and other flora along the Divide Trail--each stretch of the trail providing a different overwhelming aromatic experience.
