I love the views on this hike however with all the boardwalks and made tracks makes it hard on your feet and knees. My favourite part was the off track sections.

Leisurely Main Range Hike.
Started at Charlotte’s Pass with a quick peek at Blue Lake.
Stayed the night near Wilkinson’s creek and then headed out to visit the top of Mt. Kosciuszko.
Took lots of time to take pictures and appreciate all the beauty that is Kosciuszko.

NPWS have done an awesome job of the paths. Designed to run thru some of the most incredible scenery. We’ll do the full Charlotte Pass to Perisher next time - only 13km!

Easy track that gives you a small taste of the back country without much effort. The swing bridge is a fun destination, particularly for kids.
Note that the car park is currently closed due to building works. Park at the Guthega Centre car park below the Car Park Chair Lift.

There was snow well into November this year (2022), which is unusual, and as a result there were still a few isolated snow fields near the Porcupine Rocks at the end of December.

Great hike today along cascade trail. The hut is 10 ks in and well worth the hill sections. Take lunch and give yourself time to enjoy the hut surrounds. On your way back fill your water bottles near the last metal bridge crossing. The water is drinkable and refreshing
