Cedar Rock Mountain Loop via Rocky Bald Loop Trail
Overview
This is a pleasant, easy loop trail in Nine Times Preserve.
This trail goes by Cedar Rock Mountain.
This loop is good in either direction. Going CW per the track, you’ll be on nice trail all the way up. You’ll pass a small, trail side waterfall near the top that is pretty in wetter conditions.
When you reach the trail junction, the Cedar Rock Summit is to the left. For this hike, take the right turn to descend on old roadbeds to complete the loop.
In a change from the old track, the end of this trail now follows the old roadbed all the way back to the starting trailhead, rather than requiring any road walk.
Getting Started
The Rocky Bald Parking area is small, with space for a few cars. The trailhead is right at this parking area.
Taking Children
This hike is good for children and dogs under supervision.
