Great views of the Teton mountain peaks, but a lot of riding through open sagebrush meadows in the sun. Some really nice stretches of riding through Aspen groves. A lot of the trails through the trees were single file, which we like. There were some elevation changes, but nothing really that steep or rugged from our horseback riding experience/perspective No water crossings, no place for the horses to drink, but it wasn’t super long either. I would do this ride again and recommend it to others.

Forest fires in area this day made for visibility of Grand Teton not as good as usual. But 360 degrees of views on top were great. Last 400’ of vert is more of an animal trail than a real trail. Had a stomach bug which made for an uncomfortable hike and slow speeds.

Epic scenery. Last 10 miles to TH, road is absolute dog$hit, no one seems to take care of it. Take 4 days to do this so you can enjoy the scenery more. Plenty of water sources

Nordic Ski trail, usually groomed Wednesday or Thursday. East side of highway is pretty easy, 3.5 mile loop. West side is difficult 4.2 network with steep slopes. The far western portion of this network is the most challenging

Started from No Shadows. Looked at once dropped twice. Traversed around backside of No Name peak. Skied from just below the top on Rendezvous Peak to St Pattys Day Couloir. Booted from bottom of bowl to right ridge. Skied north facing chutes in No Name Canyon. Side step/traverse back to UP.

Went looking for the Antelope Spring. Either it’s dried up, or it’s well hidden off trail. Lots of trees down along the fire trail; looks like it’s rarely traveled.

Half of the forest has blown over and many trees have fallen. Never got to the final destination due to time restrictions. I was told the distance was 2 miles in and we hiked 4.2 miles in and still never reached the destination. It was a great hike for all ages. They have cleared the path and the weather was great. Did have some snow.

This was day one of a 3 day, 2 night backpack. There is a lot to see for the alpine lover, meadows, broad streams, rocky crags, towering mountains, etc. Camping at North Lake is not advisable due to regulations, 200 feet from lake, 100 feet from streams, as there is not much room between the canyon walls. Arrowhead Lake that lies below War Bonnet Peak and is a short distance from North Lake would be a better camping option.

One of the best views of any hike I’ve done. 360 degree view of the Grand Tetons. 1000 feet in 3/4 of a mile so I would rate as difficult. Hard to believe this hike isn’t on any of the hiking apps. Beautiful drive to trailhead but high clearance vehicle probably needed.

Beautiful terrain, though there is a large amount of deadfall. Big beautiful high mountain lakes, bear tracks, big fish. North Fork trail is no longer maintained and cannot be followed. We had to bushwhacked the majority of the trail back as we could only find sparse remnants on the off occasion.

Super steep for a short peak but once you reach the ridge line it’s totally worth it. Came across a nice spot for a bonfire with enough enclosure to camp out a small flurry overnight. Was able to hike back to town and shower before work in the morning 👍
