lots of solitude once you get off wesley hollow FR. Broke ack run i. corbin hollow is a beautiful stream and upper corbin mountain is mostly flat. no great views or waterfalls and corbin man likely to get overgrown in summer but a nice one especially finish on nicholson hollow along hughes river

Off the beaten path since it does connect to the AT and doesn’t have parking at the trailhead (use the Tw o Mile Run overlook). Descend from SLD then climb Rocky Mount then descend to Gap Run then read end to SLD. Views on Rocky Mount trail due to fire clearing out big trees years ago. Lotsa interesting flora (the includin g Chestnut trees) A real escape if you can handle the elavation gain.

Not a hike with many big payoffs unless you take the side trail to white rocks falls (I didn’t because i ve done it before and water was very low so the falls were less impressive). most sections in good condition but Catlett Mt trail overgrown in sections. Not too challenging or rocky (for SNP). catlett loop part got high solitude points (only saw 2 others on that section). a hike of small subtle pleasures

Fall hick. Great for 2.5 days. Half day in full day Loop. Chose not to spend the night. 2 miles out next day.
