Nice traverse/loop that doesn’t require car spotting, using the cutout at Camp Dodge. We did it counterclockwise starting with Carter Dome, then South Carter and Middle Carter. Beautiful views along the hike. But there was a lot of water and mud and I’d recommend waterproof hiking boots. We saw one hiker with sandals and that would probably work as well. We hiked in a stream/mud for about 2 or 3 miles. Beautiful hike.
