Overview
This is a difficult one way trail to Madison Spring Hut in White Mountain National Forest. This is a 3 hour climb DOWN, if you choose to go UP it will be more around 5 and a half hours.
This trail goes by Low's Bald Spot, Osgood Tentsite, and Mount Madison.
Getting Started
This is a great trail of you are looking for the full experience Presidential Traverse but should be taken serious at a multiple day adventure. The hike is nontechnical but very long with excellent views and a few nice waterfalls.

The first time I went this route I was planning a single day presidential traverse, little did I know that was almost impossible due to the added mileage of the trail. but the second time I really took In the views of the trail and it is very nice. there are a lot of waterfall views and a pretty awesome bridge you get to cross right at the beginning of the Osgood Cutoff (3.5 miles)
