Overview

This is a difficult loop trail to Black Mountain in Rancho San Antonio Open Space Preserve.

This trail goes by Ewing Hill, Mary Davey Memorial, and Ohlone Village.

Getting Started

Start the long climb to black mountain from the equestrian parking lot across from the park’s entry. The trailhead is at the west end of the parking lot behind the wooden fence and across the Permanente Creek bridge.

Taking Children

This hike is too difficult for young children who will be better served hiking from the park’s old parking lot to the farm.
