Trail in good condition with few blowdowns. Gorgeous views up the Salmon River Valley, then, from Devil’s Peak, of Mts Hood and Jefferson. Wonderful fall colors. Would be a nice, easy two-night backpack trip.

Devil's Peak Loop
If I were to do this again, I would recommend staying away from the Salmon River Trail, which is overrun with campers, fishermen, families, and city people asking you to put your dog on leash. The Green Canyon Way trail to Devil's Peak and then the Kinzel trail to Kinzel Lake are all fine. Kinzel Lake would make a good turnaround point.

Devils Peak Lookout (Salmon River-Kinsiel-Humpback-Green Canyon)
Very nice hike. The Salmon River Trail is pretty easy lots of camping opportunities if you backpack. Great views from the top.
