Epic scenery. Last 10 miles to TH, road is absolute dog$hit, no one seems to take care of it. Take 4 days to do this so you can enjoy the scenery more. Plenty of water sources

Gman on the money again. Perfect conditions for end of May . Mountain tops covered in snow, grass just starting to grow. Took the hike to the un market spot. 10 miles in and out. Couldn’t fish water was running too fast

Beautiful valley leading up to toward the pass. It will take at least two days from the trailhead to get here. Stunning peaks to the left and right as you hike up. Trail is good and easily found.

Titcomb Basin is a glacial wonder. Indian Basin is spectacular. Way too many people and dogs are allowed. Most were well behaved but not all.

Great summit route to the Warrior Peaks. You can look down into the Cirque basin from here...long way down!

For anyone who loves those jagged alpine peaks, this section of our hike passing through the Cirque of the Towers is spectacular. We were there 2 days after a September snow storm and therefore hiked mostly in snow, with no track from Lonesome Lake to Texas Pass. With good weather and paying attention to the map and terrain, it was easy enough to make it to the pass, although deep snow adds some adventure and extra fatigue. It also adds to the beauty of the landscape.

This was day one of a 3 day, 2 night backpack. There is a lot to see for the alpine lover, meadows, broad streams, rocky crags, towering mountains, etc. Camping at North Lake is not advisable due to regulations, 200 feet from lake, 100 feet from streams, as there is not much room between the canyon walls. Arrowhead Lake that lies below War Bonnet Peak and is a short distance from North Lake would be a better camping option.

Beautiful terrain, though there is a large amount of deadfall. Big beautiful high mountain lakes, bear tracks, big fish. North Fork trail is no longer maintained and cannot be followed. We had to bushwhacked the majority of the trail back as we could only find sparse remnants on the off occasion.
