During my short hike by the beautiful creek in the sunshine, I did enjoy the serene surroundings and the gentle sound of the flowing water. The sunlight filtered through the lush foliage, creating a mesmerizing play of light and shadows. The cool breeze carried the refreshing scent of nature, invigorating your senses. The peaceful ambiance and picturesque views made for a rejuvenating experience amidst nature's splendor.

I would not hike this again thinking it was “easy”. Started by taking the trail on the left at the beginning of the trailhead off shippensburg road. Beginning with scaling rocks uphill, great way to get the heart pumping, after a mile…still uphill. Once you reached the top there was an overlook which was 100% worth it. Then 1.2 miles it’s ascending many boulders and deciding which “blue blazes” we wanted to take. One was more challenging and one was a BIT easier. It then took you to the Appalachian Trail, awesome…then it left you off onto a main road, historic building, field that left you nowhere. We then hit it up on a bike trail which was gravel that then hooked back on the AT then back to where we began. Not sure why the app took us off the AT but next time around would continue on that trail. However the rock climbing ascending, descending, etc…not easy whatsoever. Our 3-legged dog was able to accept the challenge but that’s not what we had intended for an anticipated “easy” hike.

Pleasant, soft pine needles covered trail, continuous view and access to the lake throughout the whole time.

We loved this hike!! So much rock scatter and scenic AT views. Must go! Park at AT museum 1mile away if trailhead is packed at lot.

Very technical side hill trail with glorious features and evidence of many hours of Work building some of the side hill and the features. Some sections had too many knuckle busters for my taste
