Overview

This is a moderate one way trail to Appalachian Trail Museum in the Michaux State Forest.

This trail goes by Appalachain Trail Midpoint (2018) and Appalachain Trail Midpoint (Legacy).

As it typical for the Appalachian Trail in Pennsylvania, expect rocks! The terrain otherwise is mild.

Getting Started

From the Big Flats parking area, proceed North on the Appalachian Trail. You'll pass the Holly Spring, the Toms Run Shelter, and the official halfway point for the Appalachian Trail!

Taking Children

This should be considered a moderate-difficult hike for children. At 8+ miles over rocks, make sure children are prepared for a slow-going hike.
