Make sure to hit this run late April or early May to catch the freshet and avoid blackfly season. Lows lower dam was closed for construction this year so I took the creek that runs from Horseshoe to Hitchens pond, it was navigable but had plenty of beaver dams. Lovely 3mile portage from Lows to the Os, travel light! Trout fishing was fantastic, bring fry pan. Inlet parking seems safe enough for the shuttle vehicle.

Good moderate hike some good climbing at the end. Cool views of lakes and springs. Good view of the valley from the top of cat mountain.
