We hiked. Met only 3 mountain bikers and two hikers. Wild flowers were a feature: mariposa lilies, flowering cacti, orange globe mallow, little daisies and more. Used Gaia to avoid deviating from the trail at a few points.

Hiked pump out on a finger. Sagebrush flats w camps along periphery and a mono at the distal end.

It was a great Heart beating high hike.50lbs pack. Was able to hide and photograph juniper titmouse and hairy woodpeckers. Wear solid hiking boots and work those legs!
