An informative hike just to stroll in sandals and read the plaques of the things you never take time to stop and read. Often shaded and late afternoon which makes it very pleasant any time of year.

First 2 miles are easy and graduate to moderate and then hard. Turned around at
the junction with Hunter trail. Cables up to the junction are difficult, but there are toe holds. Bring gloves.

Moderate hike, maintained trail with overlook at top. Not as difficult as Hunter trail.

Strenuous and some parts a little scary if your not fond of heights. Some of the areas with cables don’t have much room to plant your feet while climbing straight up so you have to be very careful. I almost turned around so close to the end but glad I finished it.

Strenuous hike to the top of Picacho Peak. Steep trail with nearly vertical ascents in a couple places. Take plenty of water and a high energy snack to eat at the top. The panoramic view from the top is stunning.
