This was a hike I was pretty nervous about as I thought it was ascending on the same route that the 13km trail did, where I actually injured my knee early this year.
To my surprise you had a quick glimpse of the Karee trail three or four times and then you meandered in different directions.
Having such divercity and change in the terrain kept me focused all the time, and is what will make this a trail to come back to.

This is a good technical and challenging hike. It needs people who are physically and mentally strong. I will do it again. Carry lots of water and be mentally prepared. It’s not a killer trail but I say it’s challenging and tough

Epic hike. We hiked to the top of Tonquani then entered the gorge and went all the way through. Large rock you have to jump off of. 6-7 meters high and the water is ice cold. Bring dry bag and some sturdy Sandile’s for the rest of the hike after the jump.
