Nothing to see until about the 6 mile mark when you finish the switchbacks and start to dive into the lake area. Larches are way better up near Numa Pass

This is an excellent intermediate ski tour up a valley with impressive views of the cliffs of Mt Whymper and a frozen waterfall.
Note that it can not be hiked in the summer because the first km is impassable marsh.

Great spot to find solitude through the trees. Fairly safe backcountry tour with only 200+ m elevation gain. Can be done in about 3-4 hours.

Pleasant loop near a creek, through an old burn area. Views to nearby mountains, and a varied understory.

Nice easy graded trail to the lake. A lot of descent but not steep. Lovely lake.

Fun hike to the painted pots. Muddy and ochre mud. Pretty colours. Limited mountain vistas, but very pretty forest and flowers.
