Great area and what a cool rainforest! I did this hike with the Maroondah Bushwalking Club and we did 19km. Track is very bushy, it’s so nice in the early morning when there is no one there and you see the sun slowly rising.
Wear lots of insect repellant, sunscreen, and watch out for leeches. I wore gators.
