This was probably the least appealing of the three legs of the loop. It didn’t really have as much as the previous 2 in terms of side quests, that said I was in a rush so I was more head down, bum up for this leg. I want to come back and do the Haystack at some point. But the previous two legs were definitely the pick of the loop.

Beautiful ancient lush rainforest with serene little creeks running all through it. Dandahra Falls are so incredibly beautiful. Well worth the walk DOWN and UP! Very steep descent. The last 3.5km were all downhill on bitumen road, not overly interesting but at least I didn’t have to watch my footing for once.

Well maintained single track with one of my new favourite views ever. Cassuarina Falls are breathtaking with views back out over the valleys below.

This is one of my favourite walks in SE Qld. It criss crosses the creek all the way up the mountain then down the old fire trail. Alternatively, and better, add the the Ridge track to the walk - not much longer.

A good walk to fountain falls. Bull ant spur is easy enough to navigate (just stay on the top of the spur).
Head downstream from blue pool. The track starts on the right of the creek (heading downstream) but is quite overgrown. If you lose the track just follow the creek.

Relatively moderate hike. Definitely not grade 4. Great views from the lookouts.

Great walk. Graded track all the way. Well maintained. Spend the entire day out there because there's so much to see. Not difficult, only the distance to think about. Views to die for!
