Overview
This is a difficult out and back trail to White Pine Lake in Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.
This trail goes by Gloria Falls and White Pine Trailhead.
Getting Started
The parking lot is located at the trailhead. There is also plenty of parking space along the road during busy hours.
Taking Children
This is a steep but wide trail and relatively child friendly (5).

Nice hike, definitely a butt kicker. I do prefer trails over fire roads and this hike is almost entirely on a fire road with lots of lose rocks and scramble. Lake was very cold and water level was low in late September. I saw some decent sized fish, but didn’t catch anything with my tenkara. Took us the better part of 6 hours roundtrip.

An awesome late season hike before the snow gets deep. This is a longish but moderate hike. Plenty of water along the way.

Nice climb. 2600’ ascent, but not too difficult. Nice wide trail with spectacular views.
