Switzers Trail Camp via Gabrielino NRT(edit)

Overview

This is a moderate one way trail to Switzer Picnic Area in Angeles National Forest.

This trail goes by Switzers Trail Camp, Switzers Falls, and Lower Switzer Falls.

This is a fun and rewarding hike that takes you through wooded glades, along canyon rims, and down into the rock-walled grotto below. Switzer Falls drops 50 feet into the canyon, though it's often just a trickle in the summer.

Once you get down into the canyon, going left will take you to the base of the falls. Going right will extend the hike up the other end of the canyon, past smaller terraced falls.

Taking Children

This is a fun hike for kids. The trail does go right next to the canyon rim in places, with steep drop-offs, so be mindful of that.
