Strawberry Gap
Big elevation at the start, and more during the trail. Beautiful meadow at the top. Spectacular views, particularly from the meadow, including Mount Mitchell. Lots of damage from Helene apparent, including evidence of a mud slide. Trailhead at Gerten/Hickory Nut.
