Surprise Creek Campground via Simpson River Trail(edit)

Annual backpacking trip with Caleb, Nic and Sara! We didn't count how many downed tree crossings were on the way up but significantly more then on the way down. We counted 119 downed tree crossings on the way down and it would have been +/- 60 more if it werent for the 2 older men who were horse packing in and cutting the downed trees for their horses to make it up the trail with a chainsaw. If only we were coming next weekend, then the hike would have been a breeze! Fun was had, memories were made, margaritas were drank, hammocks were relaxed in, the cabin saved us from the 5:30 am thunderstorm, and lots of bruises and scratches were earned.

Lycka and i did this ourselves. We followed the teail to the river, could see the cabin but the river was to high. Apparently just around the bend is an actual bridge. Lol
