Overview
This hike maybe low miles but it is steep giving it a moderate rating. Half way up the trail connects to a ski trail with great views. Before the summit there is a nice little loop. It is recommended to hike the loop clockwise. The summit has great views of the Tripyramids and Osceolas.
On the way down if you want to check out the top of the Waterville Valley ski resort an out and back can be down via the Sossman Trail.
Winter hiking info. See getting started for parking. This is a heavily used trail in the winter due to is low miles and the fact the other trailhead is not assessable due to a road closure. At this time Waterville valley doesn't allow any up hill access or tickets.
This is a Moderate out and back trail to Mount Tecumseh in White Mountain National Forest.
Getting Started
Parking is at the Waterville Valley ski resort. During ski season this lot fills up fast on the weekends but during the summer you shouldn't have any problems finding a spot

Still new to snowshoeing this was my 2nd time out but it was a nice hike. Starts out easy and you even get background music from the ski slopes. The climb gets pretty steep after the side trail that gives you a view of the ski trails. From here on up it’s kinda boring and straight for awhile. Once I was near the top it got interesting the wind picked up and it was tough following the trail. It was snowing out so there were no views this day. Not a bad quick hike.

Hiked this trail during the middle of September and leaves have not started to turn. The trail only has two view points: one midway that is on one of the Waterville Ski Area ski trails and the other is at the summit. The midway viewpoint is more open. The viewpoint at the summit is tiny, and given the popularity of the trail, it was crowded at the top. At neither viewpoint is there a 360 degree view. The trail itself is well maintained, with steps in place even near the summit.

Temperature -1F, 4F, 9F when we finished the hike. Nippy and strong wind and cold. We were just keeping on moving.

Drifting snow close to the summer. Great day with PRH ladies. Susan Harlow, Prudie Taylor, Pam Johnston, Kwihui - GPS recorded only one way from the summit (4.64mile)

We made it to the my first 4K footers today and am so happy that I did it
It was gorgeous day. Warm and sunny 35. - 45 F
Windy but it wasn’t bad at all. Pam and I took the time chatting with other hikers go up or down. 13 hikers we saw, one dog 6 months old. Trail was icy . We carried crampons but we didn’t use it.

Solo hike. 49 F cloud a bit later on sunny and warm 57 F. I saw total 11 hikers and on dog.
Hiker from Vermont David, Earl their 10 peaks NH 48. Hancock’s last weeks they said. Also they have been hiking in Europe.
Trail was almost dry and some muddy in the beginning, micro spikes was necessary icing up it was helpful. Couple hikers didn’t have them. First time I didn’t bring my snow shoes.
Mount Tecumseh
Cold, windy day. Car thermometer read 15 degrees and local weather says -4 with wind chill. Passed maybe 17 hikers including one uphiller. No snow making on the Waterville Valley ski trails so very peaceful. Trail was packed snow and several people were sledding on the trail.
