This is a difficult loop trail to Skunk Tank in Tonto National Forest.
This hike can be accessed from Cave Creek Trailhead near Seven Springs Recreation Area. There is parking at the trailhead and no fee to use the trailhead.
This follows Cave Creek Trail (#4) and Skunk Creek Trail (#246).

Cave Creek Trail to Skunk Tank Trail Loop
First 6 miles were great, last 4 were a dirt road. Cave creek trail (#4) was great. Skunk tank trail #246 was great up until the turn off to Quien Sabe trail. The rest was was a dirt road.
