Horsetooth Mountain Open Space Trailhead Loop via South Ridge Trail(edit)

Beautiful day for a hike. Parking lot had few cars when we arrived around 10:00 am. Only passed a couple of people on the way up and had the top to ourselves. After spending some time at the top enjoying the view headed back down starting around 12:30 and passed quite a few people heading up for the afternoon. Micro spikes made for much better traction but encountered snow balling under our feet in the warmer snow. Saw at least one car get ticketed for not paying the entry fee.
