Blue Lake via Pacific Crest Trail
Overview
This is a easy hike to Blue Lake in Gifford Pinchot National Forest. The trail starts off in the forest and passes a number of lakes and ponds, some of which have campsites. At Rock Lakes the trail abruptly turns south. Just before the junction with the PCT, Blue Lake appears on the right. There are several spots to rest and camp by the lake.
This trail goes by Dee Lake, Heather Lake, Eunice Lake, Brader Lake, Naha Lake, Rock Lake, Little Rock Lake, Lake Umtux, and Lake Sahalee Tyee.
Getting Started
The trailhead parking area is small, but there is room on the shoulder of the road for more parking. The trail starts at the small trailhead parking lot where you'll also find a toilet.
Taking Children
This hike is suitable for children, but keep an eye on them at the water's edge.
