Heart Burn and LIttle Burn(edit)

Hiked Heart Burn with Laura! She shared much knowledge of the wilderness, including that if the birds are chirping, bears are probably not around. We passed fields of wildflowers and crabapple trees, ripening berries, ancient forests, hidden mushrooms, a wren, and thousands of strands of witches hair/wizards beard hanging from above. We walked by the castle, and thankfully no dragons were in sight. The air temperature was just right - not too hot and not too cold. It was 16 degrees at the Rendezvous. I also met Sue, who was hiking with Laura from the base to midstation. She is 73! I want to be as fit as her when I am that age. I am so happy that I bought electrolytes at the base, which I mixed into my camelback on the hike. I really perked up! My Thai bowl with papaya and my iced late was gorgeous at the Rendezvous. I then downloaded to save my knees.
