Cameron Tract State Forest via Vineyard Mountain Trail(edit)

I am 71 years old today! I am now starting to feel pretty normal and my balance is stable. I was planning on riding my bike up the high road from Lewisburg saddle and coming back the low road but I forgot my bike shorts so I hiked instead. Nick called me for my birthday just as I was getting out of the car and so I put on my AirPods and talked to him most of the way. It was great to hear from him. On the way down, I was able to do some jogging and did pretty well, probably because I wore my older brooks adrenaline shoes which are much lighter and more flexible than than my Brooks beast shoes. Another beautiful day, not too hot, sunny and mild.  I am 71 years old today!

Went up vineyard Mountain from Lewisburg saddle on a very wet and rainy day. the trail was very wet and sloppy so I came down the road on the way back. I was able to run all the way back down without stopping which is really good. My knee seemed to be ok even with running the downhills. P.S. I forgot to start the gps on my Thursday bald hill route.

Just a short ride up to Vineyard mountain and down the trail. A fun descent. A very mild, clear afternoon, didn’t even need my jacket. Leaving for Sean’s in the morning!
