Bean Lake to Bierstadt Lake to Park and Ride Trail We took off from Bear Lake Trailhead ascending 300 feet in 0.8 miles and there all downhill to Bierstatd Lake. We hike along the southern shore of the lake and the north a little to the eastern end of the lake where there was a sand beach and a view of the mountains to the west worthy of Bierstatd himself. Then we continued downhill along a treacherous path filled with small stones that proved very unstable footing. Finally we made it to the Park and Ride where we caught the shuttle back up to Bear Lake Trailhead where our car was parked. I got another dated cancellation stamp with Bear Lake Trailhead in the name.
