Hōlua Campground via Halemau'u Trail and Halemauu Trail(edit)

Overview

This is moderate hike which begins at Paliku at Haleakala National Park. Keep in mind the Paliku is only accessible hiking up from the Kaipo Gap or down from the summit of Haleakala on Sliding Sands Trail. Backpacking permits are available at Recreation.gov.
