Group Camping Area via Palo Verde Trail(edit)

Overview

This is a moderate out and back trail in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.

This trail goes by Group Camping Area.

Getting Started

Mostly level with a few short ups and downs into the arroyos. A lot of traffic noise from SR 85 but a scenic route to access the visitor center from the campground. Small benches along the route in 3 locations.

Taking Children

Trail is mostly level but somewhat long at 2.8 miles for younger children. Even hiking the first 1/2 mile out and back would be a good experience for the little ones.
