Fen Trail to Bull Lake(edit)

Overview

The Fen Trail from Kangaroo Lake to Bull Lake is a 7.6 mile out-and-back hike that leads from a mountain lake into a quieter alpine basin. The trail climbs gradually through the forest, passing lush meadows and small streams before reaching the PCT, which you will follow above Robbers Meadows until you reach the shore of Bull Lake. Along the way, hikers may spot numerous wildflowers in June and July and enjoy views of the surrounding peaks. Bull Lake offers a peaceful setting for a picnic or a refreshing break before retracing your steps to Kangaroo Lake. This hike is an excellent choice for those seeking a moderate adventure with beautiful forests, alpine scenery, and a destination that feels pleasantly removed from the crowds.

The trail starts along the campground access road, just before the Kangaroo Lake Campground sign.
