Bullion Basin Loop with Hen Skin Lake, Silver Creek Trail
Beautiful late summer day up at Crystal Mountain exploring. Once we reached Bullion Basin we stopped for a snack and took in a views of the basin and the quietness of the woods. Continuing up to the ridgelines the views of the cascades, Mount Rainier, Mount Adams and Mount Saint Helens came out were we again took a moment to soak in the sights. Fall colors were beginning to show on the leaves. At the Crown Point area the slow decent down Pickhandle Gap into Hen Skin lake was a nice change of pace. Hen Skin Lake is a great little wilderness lake to soak your tired feet in. Silver Creek Trail picks up at the lake that brought us full circle back to the beginning of the trail and back to our parking area.
