This hike was rated difficult for good reason. It is a very rewarding, but tiring, 15 mile out and back with 3,800' elevation gain and loss. Very little level hiking, some very steep areas with loose gravel. Our pace was considerably slower than we are use to. We were on the trail for 9 1/2 hrs with 2 hr stopped for lunch and breaks.
Very scenic landscape. Highly recommended for those in good shape.
