This is the most scenic route for Woodson. I have done Blue Sky & Lake Poway approaches countless times. But this route has the most beautiful old trees, though it borders against backyards and barking dogs for a short segment. This route is the best if the goal is a pleasant hike. Blue Sky is still best if the goal is elevation gain.
