Sturtevant Falls via Sturtevant trail(edit)

After the recent rains, the creek was full and the waterfall was great! All the water crossings along the way were trickier than usual, but easy to manage if your sense of balance is good. We went on Christmas Eve Day, and were thrilled to find ourselves almost alone on the trail---that never happens. We even got parking in the regular parking lot! When we do the Sturtevant Falls hike, we like to go take the side trail down to Lower Winter Creek and "First Water" before heading back upstream to meet the regular trail, and then return on the paved road at the end back to the parking lot.
