Steep, tough hike! No breaks! Tremendous views for almost the entire hike. A couple of false summits. Muddy. Bugs weren't an issue at all. Did this one with the kids. Right at the limit of what they could do in terms of distance and challenge.
Steep climbing over wet, rock slabs
Be careful with the slab that turns into a cliff about halfway up. There's a yellow arrow that directs you away from this hazard.
Summit was in the clouds for most of our lunch. But when the clouds parted for a few seconds, the view of the western cirque and valley were gorgeous! Lots of people, not as many as on cascade.
Views of Dix, the Great Range, Rocky Peak ridge on the way back down. Giant's washbowl makes for a lovely swim once u clear the soft bottom and lilies :)
Tougher than Cascade & Porter
Did this hike in Xeroshoes, lol.
