Sawteeth Loop Hike via Weld and Scenic Trails(edit)

Overview

This loop hike is a strenuous hike to Sawteeth in the High Peaks Wilderness.

This trail goes by Outlook #1, Outlook #2, Outlook #3, Outlook #4, Cougar Gulch, Outlook #5, Sawteeth-Southeast Peak, Rifle Notch, Sawteeth Lookout, Sawteeth, Rainbows Falls Lookout, Rainbow Falls, and Beaver Meadow Falls.

This hike includes a detour via West River Trail should the bridge be out over Lower Ausable Lake Dam.

Getting Started

Parking is available at St. Hubert’s parking area on Ausable Rd., off route 73, in Keene Valley, NH. This parking lot is known to fill by 7a on most days. Overflow parking may be available at the Roaring Brook Trailhead parking area on route 73.
