This is a easy loop trail to Pack Monadnock Mountain in Miller State Park.

This trail goes by Joanne Bird Kane Land.

The Marion Davis Trail climbs the east side of the mountain and so is protected from west winds and is a great hike for watching the sunrise.
Once at the top, walk to the west side of the mountain and view Mount Monadnock. On our last clear hike we saw Mount Washington, Mount Lafayette and the Boston skyline.

Getting Started

The trail leaves the northeast corner of the Miller State Park lot. (Right side) It is very well blazed. Wear microspikes if hiking in winter.

Taking Children

This is a challenging hike for young children but a motivated child can climb this small mountain. Once at the top, there is a gift store, a fire tower, views toward Boston and the White Mountains.

Pack Modnadnock Mountain via Marion Davis Tr. return via Auto Road (w/ Ananda)
The hike up was a bit more strenuous than I was expecting, coupled with Ananda calling out 'Mama' most of the way (mom wasn't feeling well and stayed in the car) and her wanting to get out and play in the leaves the entire way up; it was mentally and physically exhausting. The views at the top were amazing, even on an overcast day. Decided to return via the auto road, .1 miles shorter than the trail but a heck of a lot easier. Ananda almost fell asleep on the way back.
