Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve is one of my favorite parks to hike in. The coolness of the redwoods at the bottom is always refreshing, the trails always inviting, and opportunities abound for almost any length hike one may want. This strenuous hike included plenty of elevation gain and distance.

Saw a deer (borden hatch mill trail), bobcat (grabtown gulch trail) & lots of squirrels. Black and orange caterpillars and butterflies on upper Craig Britton trail.
