This is a great Northern Forest hike in upstate NY. At over 8 miles it can be a challenging day hike for beginner hikers. There are scenic vistas, challenging sections of roots, winding creek valleys, power climbs, mud holes, small stream crossings, and everything in between. Good loop trails are hard to come by in this part of the state.
