Stairs Mountain via Davis Path(edit)

Overview

This 9.2-mi round trip hike is a moderately strenuous out and back climb to Stairs Mountain in White Mountain National Forest via Davis Path and the Stairs Mtn. Spur trail. The cliffs of Stairs Mountain offers extensive views including Mt. Resolution, Mt, Crawford, Mt. Carrigain, Kearsarge North, and peaks of the Sandwich Ridge, among others. A hike to Stairs Mtn. is often combined with a hike to Mt. Crawford and/or Mt. Resolution.

Getting Started

Parking is available in a paved lot on the west side of route 302, Crawford Notch Rd., near the Notchland Inn.
