At times this is a challenging route to take when there is a concern for ice towards the top. If you are planning to take this trail at any time when there is a concern for ice, strongly consider bring micro spikes or a similar technology to help keep you safe.
Parking can be limited depending upon the time of year and even the time of the day.

I would rate bringing children a 5-6 out of 10. It honestly depends upon the skill level of the child participant. It is not recommended for the youngest of travelers unless you have a backpack carrier.
