Very fun hike. Great views from top to bottom. This time of year best to start early in the morning as it gets less shady and very hot the later the day gets. Good amount of shade from the mountain early on. Make sure to take the 5 oaks trail option on the way up as that way is much more scenic and less traveled. Some nice places under the oak trees for a picnic also along the way and up at the top.

Very nice hike. We started a little late at 7:30 so was a bit shady in the morning but got hot later in the day. We took the 5 oaks trail route on the way up and the Volcan Mt trail on the way down. Some good shade on the 5 oaks trail. Beautiful views throughout most of the trail and far vistas at the top.
