Wonderful grasslands and old oak and sycamore trees. This area was spared recent fires. I suspect that much of the native growth was railed for grass, like much of the West. Even still very nice vistas. Park is remarkably large considering proximity to Julian and value of land. Seldom a human in sight. Not a challenging hike. All cattle ranch roads. Well worth the driving time from San Diego.
