The BCMC winds up Grouse mountain, adjacent to the Grouse Grind but through sections of less maintained trail and with much less (but bi-directional) hiker traffic.
Getting Started
This trail starts out similar to the grouse grind but can also be access from the rear of the D lot (stand at the parking meter and look for a trail).
Taking Children
This trail has relatively little exposure and risk for children.

This is by far the ugliest hike I’ve ever seen. Very few viewpoints and the surface is deeply tangled roots and rocks with a variety of routes wandering in all directions. however, if you’re looking for a cardio you get 800 m of vertical which will certainly make your heart pound and the view at the top is worth it. You have to have a seasons pass to go down on the sky ride or pay a fairly high price.
