Overview
The Bat lake loop is a 5.8km loop that takes you through Hemlock stands a wonderful look out and of course Bat Lake that is acidic. This hike is a wonderful introduction to Algonquins ecological systems.
Getting Started
The entrance and parking to this hike is at km marker 30 long HWY 60 from the west gate.
Taking Children
This a moderate level hike younger children will find it a challenge. Like always in the park flying and biting insects will be at there worst in the spring and early summer. Bug spray is a must.
